Southwest Andromeda Credit & Copyright: Satoshi Miyazaki (NAOJ) et al., Suprime-Cam, Subaru Telescope, NOAJ This new image composite of the southwest region of M31 from the Subaru Telescope shows many stars, nebulae, and star clusters never before resolved. An older population of stars near Andromeda's center causes the yellow hue visible on the upper right. Young blue stars stand out in the spiral arms on the lower left. Red emission nebula, blue open clusters of stars, and sweeping lanes of dark dust punctuate the swirling giant. Andromeda, at about 2.5 million light years distant, and our Milky Way are the largest galaxies in the Local Group of Galaxies. Understanding M31 helps astronomers to understand our own Milky Way Galaxy, since the two are so similar.

So what? You think this Universe is the only one??? Think again, there are a lot of Universes, but the picture is beautiful, really. We don't have to know this. Before any human ever reaches that, they have destroyed Earth. So then there is nothing to discover any more. But I love the picture. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! I hope humans stay away from other planets and moons or whatever they want in space. It is only pollution what they leave behind......
Oh but... ... I have connections throughout the whole universe, and others. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Me too. Connections everywhere. Through all Universes. Haha, bit it is true. I just have to laugh about this. Sorry I am serious again, haha. I leave here, I only have to laugh. Bebelina, your fault. You made me laugh... Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
