    Hum,
    just a quick question...

if i had a service provider with a 2Gb cap on my downloads/month, how many hours could i expect to play unreal tournament (on normal broadband)?

Someone told me 50Mb/hour for an average map for UT2k4 Onslought...
where as i figure it would be around the same for quake, er, 13 hours a day...

I usually work it out like this:

First how much it breaks down to normally)
    1 Month = 2Gb

    1 day = 71.43Mb (28 day /per Month) or
    1 day = 65.71Mb (30.4375 Day per Month Mean)
    1 hour = 2.98Mb (24 hours from 28 Day month) or
    1 hour = 2.74Mb (24 hours from 30.44 Day month Mean)
1 hour = 5.49Mb (1 day divided by 13 for bandwidth per Hours usage [28 day month])
1 hour = 5.05Mb (Same as above using 30.44 Day Month Mean)

Obviously if your running Maps that need 50Mb's per hour, you'll be pushing nearly 1 1/2 hours gametime only per day during a 28 day month, If using a monthly mean it will be less. (unless you restrict which days you play too)

    Hope that aids.
