Most web host services only allow me to host pictures. Are there and free services that will let me host PDF files?

i know of free temporary servers that will let you host files of any size...

As for permanent hosts, I'm quoting this from another forum so at your own risk:

    --------
Okay so let’s get to it.

    1) Go to http://www.netfirms.com
    2) Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Free Web Hosting.
    3) Sign up.

When you get the FTP account you can just upload all you want. The bug is, the space isn't capped.

You can share the FTP with anyone and let them log in and DOWNLOAD the files you uploaded. Or you can copy the FTP url and send it out.

Just a quick note: Once you upload you cannot use the http://you.netfirms.com/dvd.avi URL. Because the http link will say “sorry this link exceeds 256 KB". So just stick with the FTP url

yes, I use their bronze hosting for about 3 months now. my sis has it for about 6 months.
no real complains. sometimes there are some glitches/errors, but they're usually repaired soon. In 3 months I have had to send 2 support request tickets. My sis in 6 months some 4 or 5.
I'd say that for 5$ it's an exellent hosting.

The Yahoo! Briefcase service gives you 30mb of free file hosting space. The catch is you can only upload files of up to 5mb at a time.
