Metaplanets allows folks to interact with streaming 3D models of the planets in our solar system. The models are based on maps created from the USGS data collected from satellites and space missions. The site is free and should be fun and informative for kids, too.

I'm interested in suggestions to enhance this site.

    Cool!

Very cool site! I like the way you can roll the planets around like a ball. It would be nice if you included the planets moons.

    Moons on their way!

Thanks for visiting the site and for your suggestion!

We're currently working on the moon animations and the navigation for them. We should have a detailed animation of Earth'e moon posted within a week or two.

    Thanks again,
