This site doesnt need moderators they are a hinderance to the full expression of free speech . Censors ! thats all a moderator is I am through with having my posts locked up , deleted and edited on this site . I have been here 2 weeks and I have had 7 posts deleted these mods here are un-fucking-believable. They are abusive , arrogant , racist , encourage flame wars amonst other members . Simply put if you dont like what someone posts then DONT READ IT ! it is as simple as that . If you want a site that is open to all opinions and expressions of thought free from the interference of biased mods then vote NO to ban all mods .

As I said in the other thread:

Yeah, everyone should be able to go around and say whatever they want. Hell, they could post gay porn, rape pictures, whatever! How about hate material in the Free Thoughts? Child pornography in World Events? Spam in Scifi? This sounds like a great idea to me! Hey! Flames across the board! No more intelligent discussion, just stupidity.

Really wonderful idea, Brian.

Guess what? YOU NEVER HAD FREE SPEECH ON THIS WEBSITE. It's limited; get that through your head.

I don't get this obsession with free speech.

Try saying something interesting before you demand free speech.

Î like the moderators.

They are sooo nice.

Limited speech is cool.

Your poll is faulty. I assume that you meant should sciforums have moderators, but you said this forum. This forum is SF Open Government. It has no moderators. Choose your words carefully next time.

Yes, it’s ridiculous that you haven’t been temporarily banned for breaking the rules so many times.

I don't even keep track of posts that are deleted.

I expect the moderators should have a "Deleted Posts" thread, just so other posters could make up their own opinion and also learn what type of post will cause trouble.

At present ad hoc rules apply and IME, personal dislikes can follow a poster.... this is unacceptable IMO

I expect the intelligent people that post here would not agree with visually disturbing images or
>> How about hate material in the Free Thoughts? Child pornography in World Events? Spam in Scifi? >>>

House keeping is a good thing, passing negative judgement on well intended behaviour is another.

Do you want people to lear or just beat them with your unquestionable power moderator stick.

I expect a moderator to have a mature, balanced attitude, and be impartial in judgement and also capable of teaching an offender so they will not reaffend.

Clean up your act guys... I am aware now of three unjust moderations.... in the past couple of months... and I am very limited in my reading of this forum

The rules of the forum are clearly stated in the subforums that have moderators. Read all of them and try to find out what might have been wrong with your deleted posts.

I strongly doubt that anything will get deleted that has some real merit or has a scientific point of discussion. I haven't seen that happening yet.

well this is silly. you want the moderators banned? you mean removed from moderator post. no sense in banning them. i tend to prefer that there is no moderation at all on forums but it seems to be the way things are here. you either have to put up with it or leave.

P.S. the best boards i've been on had no moderation at all. we took it upon ourselves to regulate the content. that's just not going to happen here.

It is evident when you look around the site that it does need policing. Maybe some more moderators need to be employed instead of having just one for each.

How can you regulate when you have no moderator permissions?
