Hey guys,
Been a member for quite a while, but finally remember about this place. Im finally in college, stydying for a bs in Space Physics....i've got a question for you all ..what's the difference between quamtum physics and particle physics?..my take is there is no difference....quantum physics is particle physics (study of the small)...so, am I right?

Although there is a large overlap between these two areas - it is almost impossible not to study them together, there is a difference. Particle physics is essentially the study of the fundamental particles (quarks and leptons) and how they fit together. Quantum physics (a much broader field) is primarily concerned with interactions, not just of fundamental particles, but anywhere that quantum theory is appropriate, such as atomic physics, lasers, masers, nuclear physics, etc.
