    So what does this mean?

Well suppose AOL is up for sale and Microsoft is ready to buy what could this mean?

From what I know I can say this.

    1) The government would very likely be watching this. Microsoft has been under the scrutiny of the law many times for monopoly charges.

    2) AOL could get better...I mean it is incredibly shitty now and MSN is actually better compared to AOL.

    3) AOL dumps Netscape support for IE. That virus scan will really come in handy now.

    4) Now I am conflicted with this one...Do the prices go up or down?

AOL is a pretty big cash cow for Time Warner so I have many doubts Time Warner would let go of AOL completely to Microsoft, but then....there is always that "what if"
