Current events in Space

How about we make a thread where people can check in once in a while to see if there's any current happenings in astronomy? Everything from lunareclipses to the Mars Express is acceptable.

Would be nice with a thread to discuss what you thought about a certain observation, for example. Not that that can't be done on any other thread, but it was just an idea. :)
