If they don't have rain in the next days, they will be able to eat this new couple

Without joking, do you have such traditions in your countries? (for rain, births,...)

If we want rain here in Philly, PA, we make sure everyone stops washing their cars, and stops watering their lawns. After a while, it starts raining again.

I had a dream last night that once this "rain for 36.5 days and 36 nights" things we've had going here, that we were going to get into a bad drought! Maybe we should all stop washing our cars now!!

(I am of course just being a PITA)

Back a few hundred years ago, aroudn here it was thought that if a frog jumped into your home, that it was going to rain. Given frog's sensitivity to water, I could see there being a certain modicum of accuracy to that. maybe frogs seeks shelter before a hard rain
