Fredx has quit philosophy for good. He remembers that Hannah Arendt once parted way with philosophy too. Fredx likes Hannah Arendt, would probably ask her out if she was still alive. Why is Fredx talking in third person? Fredx has gone nuts.

Just kidding! I have a reason why I quit philosophy besides that it always leads to arguments. Actually, to be honest it leaves a bad, bitter taste in my mouth. Most philosophers as some people on this forum have pointed out are losers. In having these great thoughts they forget to actually go out and live life.

Philosophy is a pernicious thing. It is something which wants to give you one thing and the minute you grab for it you get something else. This is the closest I can actually come to getting at what Hannah Arendt meant to convey when she finally had to break away from philosophy.

It is incidental that the first seeds in her break from philosophy came when she met a man, Martin Heidegger, who of course did not turn out to be the best of all men, but he was a man nonetheless. The final straw was broken when she found out that philosophy would not give her what she needed, when she found out that truth does not have any power in the political realm (see the chapter truth and politics in Between Past and Future).

That is my requiem for philosophy.

I just don't know what you mean by going out and living life? What better way to live life than to think about anything and everything. Maybe going outside doing this would be living life. Maybe going to a park and just going there is living life for you. Whatever the reason, living life for the sake of living is just obsurd. Maybe you should elaborate more for us. Cause what the fuck does "live life" mean? Please enlighten us.

Fredx did i ever insult you..if i disagree with you then i post in a respectable manner to be debated...i don't need or will have use for petty, pathetic attacks on anyone.
