Can Marijuana incite schizofrenia in a person with a family history? Does it lower intelligence?

It depends on who you ask. If they are antidrugs they will say yes, others no.
I'm sure "scientifical facts" can be put forward to proof both sides.
But, I think it can trigger a latent psychological disorder.
I think it can lower intelligence too, because braincells are being damaged, but the brain have an ability to compensate for that, so maybe it's just a temporary condition.
If you have scizofrenia in your family and are afraid of getting it, don't smoke.
Because the worrying in combination with the temporary intelligence loss can drive you insane.
    Don't listen to me.

Mary kills brain cells just like every other drug (not medicine, hehe, you can get high on those!). As a result, after a certain point, you do become slightly retarded (SCARY I HAVE SEEN THAT KIND OF PEOPLE!!! IT IS TRUE!!! THEY DO EXIST!!!) However, Mary makes you prone to other drugs, so retardation reaches you a little faster...
From what I have seen, after 9th grade of HS people should clean up their lives, otherwise they'll fuck up big time.

I remember learning in a psych class that some drugs (illegal) DO trigger schizophrenia, dont remember which ones. Please be careful.

Reefer Madness, originally named Tell Your Children is a 1936 cult film.

It was directed by Louis Gasnier, who had well learned the silent era craft of over-acting. Its cast was composed of mostly unknown bit actors. The story was written by Laurence Meade. The plot revolves around the tragic events that follow when high school students are lured by pushers to try "marihuana": a killing, a suicide, a descent into madness.

As a do-gooder financed propaganda film it was a terrible failure. Soon after cinematic exploiter Dwain Esper bought the rights and cut in the "dirty bits" and began to make money on the rural circuit. Eventually it was shelved and the copyright was not renewed.

It was eventually acquired by Keith Stroup, founder of NORML National Organization for Reform of Marijuana Laws, who made it the darling of pot smokers and college campuses. For this crowd the poor production qualities of the movie, including the over-acting, have stamped it as an uproarious comedy that magnifies the futility of the current "War on Drugs".

Reefer Madness has since fallen into the public domain and is available online at http://www.crrh.org/hemptv/misc_reefer.html
