Frankly, this is a very civilised reaction from the French - but then, that's what you expect from France. Provide an example or two of where the French government did this to the US government with a deliberate and verifiable lie in the press. Because I'm saying that it's not happened. Just because you're exhibiting anti-francoism doesn't mean that the rest of us believe your obviously pejudiced statements. YOu know, when the French work for what they percieve as their national interest, (roughly speaking, leaving out the question of whos in charge etc etc.) everyone goes, Oh, theyre just being themselves, thats what we expected. But when the USA works for its own interest, they expect everyone to say yes, we'll help you, of course your doing it for our benefit as well, and dont seem to understand that from the view of anyone else they are just doing what the French do. (and the UK, and Russia and Syria and Australia etc etc. See the lack of foreign reaction to Saddam gassing Iraqis and Kurds and internal repression, before Gulf war one.)
