150 Australian Special Air Service Regiment soldiers were among the first allied soldiers in Iraq and the first to engage in combat. They were involved in reconnaissance and the hunt for ballistic missile sites deep within Iraq, well in advance of the coalition calvary.

In their final act, the SAS patrols came together and joined forces with commandos of the 4th Batallion Royal Australian Regiment to take the Al Asad airfield with air support from Australian F/A18 Hornets.

No casulties. Whoo hah! "Who Dares Wins"
