Is it just me or has anyone noticed a surge of new posters? It seems like there are a lot of new posters within the last month or two that have already garnered quite a number of posts (ie sargentlard Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!). I'm not complaining, I'm just curious as to how you all found out about sciforums-- did you get a group rate or something? Now that I think of it, I'd like to know how EVERYONE (even old sciforums vets) found this place. I found it *by accident* one day while searching google for some physics info. Glad I did though. The floor is yours...
Hey Neb, I found this place the same way you did. I searched for something that would very unlikely show any results, and google turned up one single hit.
google i found it with google.... Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! edit: 'it' meaning sciforums
idem : google for programming help. I didn't found what I was looking for, but I spent/lost lot of time reading intereting things... (I was doing a training job Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! )
I too have noticed a significant increase in regular posters. But it seems as a result some of the older (and in most cases more enjoyable) posters have eased off a bit ie BluSol%, Pollux V, Avatar, Captain Crunch and even some of that I never expected to fade like Wet1 and Goofy, even Asguard is following suite. I don't want you guys (and gal) to get replaced Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Even you Nebula have been easing up on the posts! Am I the only sad one here? Anyways, I found this place waaaaay back in June/Julyish while looking for a picture on google...which seems to be the popular way to find this place
i immigration here after linuxnewbie.org(now justlinux.com) chanced the rules to there random forum, i found this site in a thread there about what other forums people read.
Don't worry Thor... mods were just very busy behind the scenes and we did not have a lot of free time to get our thoughts out on the multitude of topics out there. I'm back in the hunt, and I am sure the others are as well. As for the others, it is our hope that an improved atmosphere will encourage their return. Loss of their thoughts permanently would, in a word, suck. :m: Peace.
It's all starting to look up again, maybe something will come up that will test my enormous* brain *Enormous = Small :bugeye:
I just had a spur of the moment thought "I wonder if there isn't a some sort of sciforum out there", so I typed in sciforums.com and ended up here. I registered, made a few posts, forgot about it, and then came back a few months later.
of the members came thru google. including me ( searched for "what does love feel like"? ugh. dont ask me why! Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Thor, I've noticed a dramatic decrease in the # of posts by those guys. Especially Adam; anyone know what's going on with him? I also miss posts by kmguru Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! . My posting frequency may be waning, but I don't think I'll ever be able to totally abandon sciforums... :m: this is my united states of whatever :m:
Looking for stuff for this,http://www.sciforums.com/showthread.php?threadid=7528, and sciforums showed up. Later I started the thread. been here ever since.
Oh ya Thor. Don't notice the fact that I only post in the SciFi section now. I haven't been in WE&P for a while. The other forums can get frelled (At which point they are frelled).
