How does De Ja Vu work?

    I heard that De Ja Vu is when your brain short-circuts then continues back with the object, making it seem like you have had a dream before.

    Deja vu, an ongoing debate of whether or not it is a link between the known and the unknown, or the simple malfuntioning of the brain as you stated. It does seem to have interesting side effects such as, elongated states of clarity, or even what seems slight pre-cognition. Whether or not these are vaild or not I suppose depends on how the universe really works, but deja vu must be more than just a mishap for as often as it occurs.
