shutdown PC

Hi all,
Does any know how to shutdown PC or Windows from C++ program or from C#? or anyone can tell me this from java?

help needed...plz help...?

If you need to know anything about Microsoft's API's, MSDN (the MicroSoft Developer Network) provides all the answers. Use the advanced search option (top left of the page), and check the "API, Class Library and Language References in the MSDN Library" option, and its suboption "Windows API". You can also uncheck the other options to return only api information.

Having done that, the API call for shutdown is described on the following page:
