can I have my cable IP address?

    Is there a way to change my IP address for my cable service? I did something bad and my IP was logged

    Yes there is a way to change your IP but I can't tell you. (It's one of those, if I was there I would know what to do things.)

    Anyway wouldn't it be a little "Closing the gate after the horse has bolted"?

    It all depends on how you get your IP in the first place. If it's DHCP I know you can get a refresh on your IP by doing an ipconfig /renew. If that doesn't work an ipconfig /release should work (this method cuts off your IP and waits for a new one to become available, so it will definately cut off your connection for a bit).

    Mind telling us what you did?

    Doesn't really matter, your ip you had at the time you did something bad was logged at your idp. They will be able to find you.
