I just purchased a new 80GB hard drive, set up a 50GB partition for Windows XP and installed XP... all works fine. Now, I would like to install Windows 98 on the remaining 30GB partition, but when I put the CD in and started the install process it seemed to be geting ready to install over XP. Also, I am actually showing two additional drives in 'MY Computer' with 0 content.
What am I doing wrong? Also, do I need boot disks for 98 or can I boot from the CD? And where can I get the boot disks if I do need them?
    Please help!

    Thanks,
    Jmich1

Not sure how to solve your problem but why do you need Win98?

There are some older programs that I would still like to run that the software companies haven't posted any XP patches for

I see, have you tried running them in compatible mode? Not sure how you enable this (running Win2k), but I think you can right click an .exe and enable Win98 compatible mode.

Yup, running in compatibility mode should make them work just fine. Ive done it before.
