    Could anyone do me a favour and give me a good, solid definition of "computation".


    Are there different types of computation (qualitatively)?


    Is the notion of representation necessary for computation?

    Computation = manipulation of data. That's all.

    It comes down to the gates used. And, nand, or, nor, xor, not, et cetera.
