Well I bought one. I purchased The Two Towers with it, even though I wanted Halo, me mum wouldn't let me have it. I'm going to try it anyway--but, here's my question: what are your favorite x box games and where can I get them for a mega cheap price?

    Congratulations!

My friend bought a box, too. What I can tell you is that you made a mistake by buying that game. Two towers is not all that great.

    You might like:

    Tom Clancy's Splinter cell
    Munchies oddworld
Hitman 2 silent assasin (Splinter cell is better)
    HALO (definately THE best)
and a few others...I'll get back to you.

... With that out of the way, I will picket here until those on the Dark Side (X-Box) come back over to the Light Side, the PS2 (or at least until nap time).

I love playing Halo on multiplayer. Get a big group of people and a couple xboxes and tvs and you're in gaming heaven.

esert Storm. I rented Medal of Honor and it was ok. And of course Splinter Cell. Fuzion Frenzy is a good party game. I don't have many xbox games but i've played all the ones mentioned.

We have an X-Box and the graphics are amazing, probably the best I've seen on any system other than the PC. If you ever get a chance to buy "Halo," you should. It's a great game. Hubby's played it and conquered it within the first week of playing it. I like "Odd World: Munch's Oddysee." Great game, too. The bad guys (forgot what they're called) sound like Michael McKean in BeetleJuice. You should check out www.amazon.com for used games for cheap, if you're interested in getting games. I'm not trying to pull your leg or anything, but it's good for gamers with limited cash... and we should know.

I don't know where to get it for cheap, maybe you can check online sources, they are usually cheaper.. Or at least they are for books.. But, Bloodwake is great! You play in these boats and go around blasting people. Ever play twisted metal? Well, if you have, it's like that except with boats.

My fave games so far are ncaa football 2003 and splinter cell. I would probably wait to buy next year's football but I would highly recommend splinter cell. It is a very cool game.

What genre of gaming do a lot of you like to play?

    ~ Third-person shooter?
    ~ Sports?
    ~ Old-School Atari?
~ Build Games, like the Sim City games and variations?
~ Skill and Strategy games, like War Craft (This could also be integrated into the above category)

    Blah, blah, blah...

See this site for more genres

Which kinds interest you the most... for all you gamers out there... and do you like the X-Box or the PC?

I like all genres... Because of this, I find it necessary to have both pc and xbox.

Xbox lets me get my fix for sports and action/multiplayer games much better than a pc could. Its much more fun to play a sports game on the couch with your buds next to you than online with someone you don't know or care about.

PC gives me much better adventure and sim/build game experiences. freelancer, simcity4...these would not work as well on xbox. PC also gives me MAME...not much else to say about the kickassedness of that.

Both platforms have good shooter/stealth selections.

If I had to choose only one it would be pc for many reasons...but xbox is a must for a gaming dork like me.

    XBOX Live

Also, I've got a question. If I don't have a broadband connection at my house can I still get XBOX Live (and will it still work?)?

Nope, you can't get XBOX live without broadband. In fact, without broadband (as I painfully learned,) you turn into a hillbilly.
