I have been experiencing this strange thing for a while now.
I have an XFILES THEME TUNE in .mid format...
During the PLAY in Winamp all is okay. But when the play restarts and at that moment if i take the slider of Winamp player to some other position...I hear same soundtrack with some other Instrument PIANO!! EARLIER IT WAS IN WHISTLING SOUND LIKE USUAL XFILES...

Is there anything Related to Xfiles here in my thread? It was just a Mid file song that i was referring to.And i could submit this file, you can test this phenomenon yourself in a Winamp.

You could try converting the format to mp3.

I would think that you are having troubles with the midi instrument assignments.
