    Hi guys,

Which one of these 4 video cards do you consider is better:

    MSI TI4200-VTD8X (MS-8894) 128 MB - $250

    or

    ATI RADEON 9500 128 MB - $219

    Thanks

You are paying WAY too much for a 4200!!!

I got the same chipset (except 4x) by LeadTek from PC-Beyond for only about $170 without shipping I'd also recommend LeadTek or GainWard as a vendor over MSI (for video cards anyhow, motherboards are another story)

    http://www.pc-beyond.com/

You can find an OEM 4200 for like $150

Unless the Raedon you are looking at is one of the Pro cards, the GF 4 Ti cards are normally better.

I'm not spamming, ignore if you wish, but pricewatch.com has always saved me a shitload of money on hardware.

There are new nivada cards to be launched soon...
take up two pci slots( in size) ...see pic

    The 9500 can of course be hacked/transformed into a 8 pipe 9700
(if you know a bit about it) for free...

In all the speed tests i`ve seen the raedon win

The ATI gives you more bang for the buck IMO. I have an 8500 though so I can't be too specific.

I found a Radeon 8500 in Radio Shack for $150, to me it was a bargain. But really. why go all out on expensive video cards? Try something simple like the older Vertigo models.
