Ever since ad agencies discovered how to use the built in messenger service that windows uses to inform you of needed updates, ect. for their own purposes using the computer on the internet has become more of a pain. Microsoft defaults it on for their own purposes. If you would wish to recieve no more of these then disable the service.

I know I can get rid of it, but it's funny to read some of them, especially that one

    Control Panel>Preformance and Maintenance>Administrative Tools>Services>Messenger

Double click on Messenger, under General Tab midway down, select disabled in startup type. Then Apply and Ok.

Sorry Asguard, I missed you. No it does not stop that. What we are talking of is a big grey box that pops up in the middle of your screen, floating on top of everything. It is most annoying when you are doing something and have to get rid of this message. Even after you are off the internet, at odd intervals it will continue to pop back up once it has loaded it message. I resent the fact that they have stolen my bandwidth to do this with and that causes my surfing to crawl till this message I don't want is d/led to the computer to pest me with ads for some service I didn't want in the first place. Futher, never did they ask permission to do so.

Btw, that is a super shot you have as bg there, Thor. Where is that? Is it time-lapse? And why all the distortions, those green lines across the pic?

Actually, e-mailing it is a bad idea. The pictures I send recently have been corrupted

I'll have to send it to you on MSN when you're on next.

I would put it up on her, but it's just a smidge too big
