If you had to describe the entire human race with one word...what would it be?

I think I would say delusional.

Everything about us...in the way we behave, think, identify, and communicate is filled with grand delusions.

We have soft, wet brains that have no self correction. The only way to determine if your thought is correct is to test it outside.
    So yes.

To fix that, I have developed a way to build brains from the bottom up. The bottom level of brain is all control. That has feedback and works well. The top level of the brain is an unknown area. (Not that people don't flap about it all the time.)

    Successful.

From a strictly biological, evolutionary standpoint. We have gone from an estimated 10,000 homo sapiens in a tiny part of Africa ~75,000 years ago, to over 6,000,000,000 today spread out all over the globe.

    Nice answers.

So we are delusional, individualistic, hungry, passionate, and successful.

Yes, we are wildly successful from an evolutionary standpoint. I like that optimistic way of looking at it.

    Unpredictable.

Who else would pump noxious chemicals into their own biosphere?

Who else would be concerned if a species would live or die.

Who else would on one hand revere life in the form of a baby and take life in the form of a war?

Was my original clarification not adequate? I'll try again.

From a strictly evolutionary standpoint, a species is successful if it propogates itself, increases, and eliminates competing species. We've done that in spades. Now, you can argue how "good" that is, or whether we will continue to survive in the future, but up until now I think the results pretty much speak for themselves.

  16. "AWARE" We are the only species to our knowledge that can examine itself (with a notable degree of skill and familiarity) and evaluate its performance for potential personal or social improvement. We are to our knowledge the only beings that contemplate the both the world and, more importantly, ourselves in a rational, scientific, and eager way.

    Sheep.

Two words would have given me more latitude to expound on the description but that will have to do. We are pack animals and extremely self domesticated. The government tells us what is best for us, what we can or cannot do and the majority accept these edicts without argument. Maybe a little bellyaching but little in the way of protest. We used to be explorers and opportunists. Now we are becoming increasingly specialised and narrow minded. The most individualistic people in society by force of the system are criminals. There will be no more revolutions because those with the brains to overthrow our leaders get life imprisonment.

    Baaa.

    Ignorant

It goes hand in hand with "delusional."

No matter how you look at it, we don't and won't know everything....as proved throughout our history.

    Hehehe... sheep. You wish.

If we were sheep the sheep would have to be carnivorous, willing to kill anything that got in their way (including other flocks), and would decimate the wolf population. God help the shepherd.

"ANIMALS" we are nothing but talking hairless apes that are to smart for our own good and have opposable thumbs that have aloud use to rule the world and destroy it to!

Hopefully we will evolve beyond this thanks to the help of genetic engineering, cybernetics and AI.

Such a grim view of yourself! Why the hope in AI and genetic engineering? Those things must spring from the very brains you disparage...
