Hmm... I realized recently that things have stupid names. Like my three-toed woodpecker in that blue light and water thread, which eventually turned into a pirate parrot who needs lockpicking/demolition skills to get his birdseed. And red grapes (*The* red grapes from The Subject Line). They're not really read, they're more purple. But they're not called purple grapes. People basically name things according to color and easy to recognize traits, because it makes those animals easy to recognize and identify. But most "blue" things are actually grey. "Red" things are more of a purple, or pink at best. Like onions. A red onion isn't red. It's purple. Even I can tell the difference between red and purple. But maybe they thought be calling the onion purple, it would feel insulted and cry or something. I wouldn't want to be called purple... that's a stupid name. So they called it red so it would be cool. But if they wanted it to be really neat, why don't they call it a Blood Onion? Or a Crimson Onion? or Onion of Flames? Those are better names than Red Onion, or the more descriptive Purple Onion.

And then comes along one of the only really red fruits, that could actually be called a red something, because rather than being purple, it's actually red, yay! But then the retarded farmer called it a tomato...

    Many penguins mourn that day.

The only good named fruit is... the Orange! Even though I dislike all citrus fruits except Lemons and Ruby Red Grapefruit (which is actually more of a pink), Oranges have the best name because they're actually orange.

    The End.

its easy to tell the difference between a green and red apple, the problem i have is when we start getting into colours like perriwinkle red (i might have made that colour up but you know what i mean). i have trouble with blue-pink-purple as well as green-red.
