Does anyone know any good mind excersises in order to utilise the brain as a whole and allow true intelligence to shine through? I believe that we use a minute percentage of our brain power and that there is a whole lot more intelligence in there we can use once we can get to it.. BTW I suffer from depression and that makes your mind very lethargigic and meds dont really stimulate ur mind.. just make it numb..

    Cheers

try vipassana meditation. With vipassana you meditate on the present moment the only real time that there is.....hold your mind on the present. Do this by observing your breath, try to feel it as it leaves and enters your nose. Can you feel the the temperature? Is it heavy or light? Give your full attention to this point. If your mind wonders back bring it back to the breathe. Don't criticize it. just bring it back as if you were training a wild horse. If you've never done this before, you'll be bringing it back every twenty seconds. Stick with it cause it does get better. This is a technique practiced by many thousands of people around the world. This is just a small taste. there's a whole philosophy behind it. there are many sites for it on the internet but the best thing is to check yourself into a good ten day course. Don't do it without reading up on some good buddhist literature. and be happy!!!!!!

    mind excersise

    Welcome,
I propose fighting the anti-rationalistic forces on these forums. It can be frustrating at times, but it can be a good excersise

Simple exercising like jogging or cross country skiing helps ease the mind a lot.
