Okay, this is one sci-fi thing that has gone way to far. Here is the situation. I'm home sick, and just about an hour ago, I saw a teaser for Tremors: the series, coming in 2003 to the Sci-Fi channel. Here is the official site.

Now I must give my profound opinions on these movies.
the first movie= the second best movie
the second movie= the best movie
the third movie= the movie that never should have been made
Also, upon further inspection of the site, I noticed that the characters of the series are all from the third movie. In short, I believe that this show will fail miserably. Although, I thought the same way with Anna Nicole and look at that one.:bugeye:

UberDragon I started ranting on this a long time ago when I first found out about it. They should of save their money and put it all into farscape.
What the hell is the plot going to be like? Every series needs a basic background plot that carries on through all the episodes, what could you possibly write about in tremors? In the movies it was basically - grapoids show up, people die, grapoids get killed. Is every episode going to be like that? Or is this going to be a boring small town drama with the occasional grapoid attack?
Unless I'm missing something, this series is going to suck.

First and second movies where really really good. But in all honesty any series about a movie usualy sucks (not always however), and I think that the last movie and the fact the series is coming out just goes to show that the entertainment buisness has run out of ideas. I mean look - every other popular media that they can get their hands on is being turned into film because no matter how much it looks like it'll suck we have to watch, that and the endless flow of sequels. (Spider-Man, Lord of the Rings, Scooby Doo, Star Wars Episode 2, etc.)

Yes and it doesn't say anything about the plot beyond what was already there in the movies. It is doomed to fail.

Aw, f**k it. You're all right.
*He goes to the Sci-Fi channel and demands all master and secondary copies of any episode of Tremors:The Series. He then drives his shitty, aquamarine Taurus wagon to Death Valley where he takes gasoline, butane, kerosene and any flammable petrolium product a minor can buy, dumps it on the pile, and lights it. He watches the fire until it burns out. Then he pisses on the ashes:) *

They were cool movies (the first one was west) but they are not something that needs to be on tv time after time after time.

You just now reminded me of that song Time After Time... I hate that song, it sucks! Just like this upcoming series... But the really scary thing is... what if it turns out to be good!?
