I am both. I can write and throw with both hands equally bad. (I am a soccer player so I am not very good with hands) But if you define handiness as the hand you use to beat yourself off, I am left. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Both..? I'm guessing both, because I can write with my left hand with the same speed as my right, but not as neatly. I can use chopsticks as a leftie, and play guitar really really slowly, or pitch baseballs with some degree of accuracy. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! I can draw a circle with one hand, and a square with the other on a chalkboard. They say only ambidextrous people can do it. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Totally RIGHT. My left hand is..actually quite useless. I'm not an invalid or anything. The left hand just sits while rightie works away. Leftie can type though. Left versus the brain?! I didn't know the situation was that tough. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! I can write upside down too. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Upside down, backwards, and in French! Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
I voted right as it tends to be my favoured hand. But the thing is, I can barely write with either left or right hand. Totally dyslexic and that attention span problem and all. Can't write, can't do maths, slow reader. When I write, I have to print in big messy block letters. I can play pool with either hand, or cricket.
me 2 ambis? i voted right cos im right handed my aunt and my friend r ambis. my aunt was born lef handed, but my grandparents tried 2 beat som sense into her, andmade her write with her right hand. now she can do everything with both. i wish i had those powers. its weird having a hand that cant do as many things as the other.
ambidexter ? I was born lefthanded, but they force me to write with the right hand (it was long ago) and now I'm kind of ambidexter. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Hey Adriatic! First off, Welcome to SciForums. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Secondly, what country do you live in, that they have to force you to use your right hand? Because I remember that in Hong Kong, if you were left-handed they forced you into using your right hand, because it was necessary to write the right strokes in the right order.
I'm a leftie, and lefties are the only people in their right minds. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! I write with my lift hand, but shoot(both rifles and archery) right-handed. Strangly, My left eye is dominant.
Since this post has started I have been practicing routine hand movement with my left hand instead of my right. At first I just wanted to give up, but I kept at it and at the very least had a pencil and paper near my left hand to remind me to practice. Mostly I just doodled. Now here comes the strange part, I've been doing this for a few days now and I'm rather shocked at how my doodles are turning out. Don’t get me wrong, they still seem to have a certain suckage quality about them, but I think they are a hell of a lot better than what my right hand can do. I'm going to scan what I've done and encourage others to try this for a few days and post what your experiences have been. It doesn't necessarily have to be a doodle; it could be anything you have tried with your left, or in gifteds’ case right, hand. In the words of sponge bob square pants, IT'S OPOSITES DAY! I'll post what I have in a bit...
me my heart goes out to all the ungrateful right handed children that r upset at their parents who never beat them into using their left hand.
Took a job application once where dexterity was a desired thing. The out come was that I was ambidexterious. Scoring precisely the same for both hands. While I write right-handed in a pinch I can do so with the left hand. Most other things, it matters not which hand does the job.
