Hello All! I would like to bring to your attention a current physics controversy in basic physics: Electricity and Magnetism, Electromagnetic Theory…, but with far broader implications. It is based on scientific theories that are all published, and all fully tackled by expert physicists of high repute. The background story is described in my website, with the science found through the various links: http://www.geocities.com/bibhasde/ A word of caution though: This website is highly, irreverently and humorously critical of the Physics Establishment. Some may find this offensive, and feel they have been lured into reading things they would not otherwise read. Please visit the website at your own discretion. If in doubt, please do not visit. On the other hand, if your true interest is science rather than scientists, then you ought to visit. Thank you. Sincerely, Bibhas De
The classic whine: As flies to wanton boys, are we to the gods; They kill us for their sport. The gentleman, bibhasde, doth protest too much, methinks. Ambition should be made of sterner stuff. Not wine... men intoxicate themselves; Not vice... men entice themselves. Men shut their doors against a setting sun. --Wm. Shakespeare. Gotta love him.
I agree with Mr.G. If the theory has merit, it should be presented in a clearly defined post, and not have us navigating an entire website in lieu of a proper presentation.
He's not that smart, John, or else he'd have spelled 'petard' properly. I'm not even going to ask why you can't spell 'brandish.' - Warren
Mr. G, I  for you for using the word 'pitard.' We're even. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! The difference an hour, and Adam, makes.
No, actually, we're not even. You see, when I first read your post, I didn't know the word 'pitard.' So I immediately went to dictionary.com, and found the word 'petard,' which means 'an explosive device used to knock down a wall.' Well, I thought that that didn't sound right, so I assumed the english word 'petard' was actually derived from a french word 'pitard.' I didn't bother to look it up in french, but just assumed at that point that you knew more than me. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! - Warren
