I was wondering if anyone could explain toroidal and poloidal magnetic matrix geometry (not too much maths)?I know the geometry is similar to the coriolos effect.

I would be extremely extremely grateful if anyone could answer the following questions or direct me to any relevant web-sites

    1. Why do engineers use toroidal field coils in tokamaks - Is this similar to a bar magnets magnetic fields?

    2. What other type of magnetic matrices
do engineers use in toroidal fields coils?

    3. What types of materials/chemicals are toroidal field coils made from in tokamaks?

    4. What stops the magnets from absorbing some of the energy created from the helixical field? Is it another magnetic field?

    5. How do the engineers create the poloidal magnetic fields?

    6. What processes are involved in extracting deutrium from water?

    7. Can anyone make a tokamak if you have the right ingredients?
