Hi Again,
In a recent 60 Minutes program (In Australia) they devoted the entire program to the future and what awaits us. A very reputable scientist (Aus again) stated that the todays younger generations (up to age 30 I think) will be either the last generation/s to die or the first to live forever. Apparently Genetic engineering is on the verge of being able to engineer a virus that you drink and it repairs your body so that you will in affect be no older (biologicaly) than about 20. We will be able to live upto the age of about 5000. Which according to him is as good as forever. He was then asked what do we do with population problems etc, his answer was I don't know but the cat is out of the bag -- so to speak. We will have the technology with in the next 40 years.
What do you guys think?, do we continue with this kind of research or do we let nature take its course? How many of you would be prepared to live to the age of 5000?
