What causes drowsiness with so many medications?

Is is the body's reaction to an intrusion of medicine?

it's the histamine effect. lots of meds actually have just enough anti-histamine procured into them to produce that drowsy-feelin/effect. the body is working hard to block the histamine that most illnesses produce...that's hard work...whew!! :D :confused: :bugeye:
