No it is no a redo, but the aims are alike, but not the same. Plus facebook's I like isn't shown is the serps.

I have google+ and a stockpile of invites at my disposal.......but a few strong reservations about adding people from SciForums to my circles.





Google+ is not as nice as Facebook in my opinion. just not as polished, and not as user friendly or intuitive. Facebook is the kind of place where you feel comfortable maintaining connections to family members in addition to friends and whatnot.



Google+ is more "myspacey" in my opinion. Very trendy....all my 'cool' acquaintances are on there posting the latest viral animated gifs, funny videos, and the latest comics from xkcd/The oatmeal.

I've noticed that the newsfeed does not update very often, so people aren't currently using it with the same level of fervor as Facebook.

just my observation and opinion so far.
