I firmly believe the next leap we as humans will take for the next century or few is towards immortality.

I can think back to ancient Greece to the enlightened ones who had a solid grasp of philosophy- no more than we do today. What remains of them? Nothing.

So will our mortal existences go as immortality is perfected/invented/discovered. Neil Armstrong stepped on the moon and a NEW era was born, based on the old era. So will the new race of immortal beings be.

We will be footnotes to a new history- that is our fate. It's not a bad fate- it's the same fate everyone before us also suffered. We only stand upon the shoulders of giants.

The day immortality is perfected will be the new day one for immortal beings, a NEW beginning for these new beings one step closer to perfection.

    Yet what remains?

Immortality is highly unlikely in the near future. More likely there will be serious global upheavals due to climate change.
