I had this idea and thought how neat! Let's all list what websites we've found are the most useful throughout our lives. Ones people may never have heard of before. I'll begin: For shopping because they offer a wide variety of hardware at insanely cheap prices and it's high quality too. http://www.directron.com/ MusicBrainz because their tagger Picard offers me the ability to specifically tag audio files automatically using a unique identifier that can also be updated later if changes occur. http://www.musicbrainz.org/ This site helps let me see what new software for Ubuntu is out, it has given me leads on many programs I'd never have known about otherwise. http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/ Maybe you know about Pandora radio maybe you don't, its' free service that you tell what your fav bands are and it selects what it believes are the best choices based on that. http://www.pandora.com/ This site is a community of programmers that write freeware, it often is very useful and offers a variety of things like memory management, system optimization etc. and best yet it's up-to-date. http://www.rizone3.com/ So there's my list (omitting the torrent sites, direct download sites, etc.) What about you guys?
I was surprised you didn't include http://www.spankwire.com/ Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! I have recently discovered pandora..and love it. Even though I have 60gb of music on my drive...I love my personal station. After a few weeks of fine tuning..they play only music I like. I play it all the time.
