Vote on the idea Apple can be sued out of business. Recently I've been coming accross more asinine lawsuits filed against the company giant, one such is: http://www.macobserver.com/tmo/article/microsoft_co-founder_paul_allen_refiles_apple_patent_lawsuit/ and http://www.tuaw.com/2010/12/28/lawsuit-over-app-privacy-targets-apple-and-developers/ and the worst news where they are ordered to pay over 600 million http://www.jerebeasleyreport.com/20...m-wins-625-million-patent-suit-against-apple/ And the list goes on an on, even the Beatles were relentless in pursuing Apple for ridiculous things like stealing their logo when it looks nothing like theirs, then ignoring their own agreement saying Apple can sell music just not produce it (they lost that one Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! God only knows how they will keep up with this and keep their Company afloat. Your thoughts?
Holy god! Someone did an analysis of the patents about this trying to determine if they held water LOL http://patentlyobvious.m-cam.com/blog/?tag=david-gelernter EPIC stuff! They conclude this idiot is just being a little bitch!
Microsoft had the same sort of legal battles and payouts. It's the problem of doing business, there is always someone somewhere attempting to make easy money through one loophole or other, either the larger company that uses someone else's technology without full permission or the smaller company or individual trying to get one passed the legal system to score some free dough.
Many companies got their products by stealing another persons ideas and never paying them for them. Many companies are just taking a known product and changing it a little and calling it theirs while the original company gets nothing but must place a lawsuit against those who stole their ideas. So many times lawsuits are necessary to get the truth known and the right person compensated but many times the lawsuits are dismissed because the originator of the idea doesn't have the money to fight a larger company with many billions behind it.
