Just wondering what others do for employment on this forum, for the most part, most posters here are intelligent so just curious....

I started my own company subcontracting for AT&T and Verizon Business after doing it for other companies...about 5 years. (Renewing contracts, winback (aqusition), changing plans (bundling) etc.) just aquired an office computers printers have about 5 employees (comission only lol)....which will grow fast just waiting on the next statement... I for one love what I do cant wait till it blows up

I make things, clean things, fix things, buy and sell things, write some stuff, take pictures and have a great time of it. I am old enough to retire but won't be doing that unless I become unable to work. Got a couple of degrees in a few subjects.

I'm independent researcher and aim to win a couple Nobel prizes and Fields medals. But my lack of education is getting in the way.

I can run around a tree at the speed of light as well.

i only asked about union because that is the only area i know that refers to 'master'.

and i need to get my elect/plumb licenses..most of what i actually do is minor stuff..(i am capable of doing larger stuff but i tend to cover my butt by hiring a licensed E/P for big stuff..)

Computer programmer here. Had my own company till the ex cut it in two, now just a contractor, specializing in CG and real-time 3D. Interesting and good money.

contractors here must prove 4 yrs employment in area and pass a test to get license, then they are a licensed contractor,
other than that any other classification(i have had experience with) is associated with union work..IE apprentice, journeyman, master..
i suppose the titles carry over into non-union work in some areas..

when i hear ppl talk, its about getting a licensed contractor/electrician/plumber, only the older ppl i hear ask for a Master C/E/P

Retired. But have partnership in 3 companies. One of them is based out of South Africa working on major economic development in the surrounding countries. I provide the strategies. 2011 should be good for the Africans.
