Not exactly accurate.. Most of those houses wouldn't be vacant.. You'd have the squatters and the crackheads living there.. Not sure what kind of "treat" you'd get, if you knocked though..
yes..lets give the banks stimulus money so this doesn't happen..<sarcasm> give it to us, so we can pay our mortgages!! the banks would still end up with it... stupid politicians..

Halloween was pretty lively this year over where I live. Despite it being on a Sunday. Even the local businesses gave out candy to the kids, but I live in the city. Out in suburbs, I know many houses in my parents' neighborhood were abandoned but they have all since been purchased. Whether they handed out candy or not I don't know.
8% of urban homes have been foreclosed on. 3% of suburban. So. . . on average, in the suburbs, three out of every 100 houses will be vacant. Still a pretty good evening out trick-or-treating. ~String
I bought bags of candy( my liking) lit candles up and down the drive, pumpkin lit lantern swaying from chain! NOONE CAME!
:bawl:sad for me, when we were kids,, we tore up the neighborhood,i mean every door ,came home exhausted ,then went out again! I think the sugar, candy, boring parents have ended all the FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
neighborhood trick or treat is dead.. but go to the mall or community center..they were packed this year..
