Is music, tv, internet, etc. really used a distraction to distract us from social and political situations?

    Additional Options? No way.

I enjoy listening to music and learn allot through the internet as well. I personally don't see them as distractions because I choose WHEN and WHERE I enjoy them. They could become a distraction IF I let them control me but I control them. Some people enjoy TV while I really do not care much for it but I just turn it off when there's nothing I like that is on it. History channel, Discovery TV and Science channels are what I like to watch for they teach allot about things I don't understand which , to me, is not a distraction but others might see them as distractions.
