Is it possible to always send booster messages and avoid sending intentional and unintentional busters? If not, how can you send a buster message without damaging the other person’s self-concept?
ego boosters and busters, boosters are what makes you feel better, and busters is what makes you feel bad.. If that makes any sense..
You could be giving them positive advice by CONSTRUCTIVE criticism and that would help them and show them where they are wrong.
Ego is self image, and an ego-buster would inherently damage self image, if the other person is sensitive enough to care about what you are saying. Why do you want to damage someone's ego without damaging it? Sometimes an ego needs to be taken down a notch. Humility is a valuable lesson.

The only way to do that is to be all-accepting of everything, and based on experience, that does not get you far in life. I think your answer lies in the expression of empathy.
Well this is a question I have to answer for class.. And out of 10 questions(each answer is like 2 paragraphs) its the only one I can't answer!! I could only tell myself no.. But it needs more then just a yes or no answer, and I can't answer it!!!! -and on a bragging note- out of all 3 classes I am taking, I only have 1 90 on a paper, the rest are 100s!! hehee
If you dump a guy, its hurts his ego. If you say, "I can no longer date you because your penis is too big and it hurts me" you have boosted his ego. Sadly, that lame reason works. What guy is gonna say "No its not!"
