When I wake up remembering a dream, I believe that I dreamed in color & am aware of having had a visual perception of much activity.

When awake, I cannot create a mental image of anything. If asked to describe a friend or celebrity, the information relating to hair color, height, good/bad looks, et cetera pops into my mind for verbalization. Similarly, if asked to describe a geometric object, my home, a scene, et cetera.

I have friends who are much better at describing people, scenes, et cetera. They claim to be able to create a mental image & them describe it much the way I would describe something I am looking at to a person on the telephone. Two questions.
    • Can I learn to create mental images?

    • Are there others who have minds which function similarly to the above? Actually, I am sure that there are, but would like to verify this belief.
BTW: If somebody thinks it is possible to learn to create mental images, I would like some advice on how to do it.
