CBR: Cased-Based Reasoning. It is another name for "nearest-neighbor" classification. For every input, it finds the best matching "case" in the pattern set, and generates a reply based on the associated template. (At least, that's what one of them told me.)

Generally, I had an active conversation, but it got rather dim after the same responses over and over again.
