I knew there was a good reason I refuse to take those...O_O.

So what do you use instead?

I'm single.
I use a condom if I am with someone. I wouldn't take a catabolic substance for anything. (well, maybe if it was to save my life..:))

Well, what if he didn't wear it or it comes off, aren't you taking as much of a risk?

If he didn't wear it I'd refuse to have sex. I don't want to get AIDS ;)
Condoms have a 2/3% fail rate if used properly.
I'd rather risk it, have the abortion if it failed, than put toxic amounts of estrogen inside me.
Why the fuck are you taking this tone with me anyway? You seem almost like you're determined to talk me into taking them. My endocrine system, my business.

I'm very sorry if you think I'm trying to make you do anything, I'm not. I'm only trying to understand about reasons people do things that they do and why. Inquisitive little bastard that I am.

Since you didn't mean it, fair enough. Apology accepted.
I don't want to take poisonous amounts of estrogen all the time on the off chance that a)I will meet a boyfriend, b) we will have sex and c) the condom will fail. I don't want to walk around with size H boobs and no muscle mass.

I hardly think the hyperbole is necessary -- phrases such as "toxic" and "poisonous" are highly misleading.
If you want to maximize your muscle growth, there are other forms of contraception that will interfere to a lesser degree. But that is not the most important thing for all women, so to have these pills labeled as "toxic" or "poisonous" isn't really appropriate.

Fair enough. I just personally find the idea of them "toxic and poisonous". :)

What sort of workouts are you doing? Weights for strength training? Purely martial arts based training?
visceral_instinct
08-08-10, 05:05 PM
Yup heavy weights for strength :) And martial arts too...only once a week at the moment...don't ask :(
Idle Mind

What particular exercises are you focusing on in your weight training?
And sucks to you, I'm asking anyway... Why only once a week? ;)

I'll PM you...I don't feel like sharing my weird personal stuff all over the forum.

I'll describe exercises later, I'm off out now :)

Haha, I was just being an ass for the sake of it. You don't have to tell me anything, PM or not, especially if it's personal.
I am interested in your work-out routine, though.

Not if you're young, a student, or just don't want any.
@Idle Mind: I don't exactly focus on one area, I do both compound lifts and isolation ones, would you like me to list them?
Idle Mind
08-09-10, 03:29 PM
Yes, if you wouldn't mind.
Maybe a breakdown of what you'd do throughout the week?

Okie..
routine I'm currently doing isn't that good with all those movements squished into one session, but, yeah, life kinda getting in the way of doing a split one...(I live quite a bit away from the gym I go to...)
exercises:
squats
bench press
overhead
lateral pull downs
those other ones akin to a rowing movement...sorry can't remember the name
hyperextensions
oblique extensions
crunches on a machine for resistance
I usually go 2x a week, I also work out with some shitty 10kg dumbbells at home. Just doing high reps for endurance at the moment, they are way too light for me. :( And use my metal bunk bed for doing pull ups.

Indeed. Kids taste great in soup. I don't trust people who don't like baby soup. :D
Would you like a baby liver sandwich? :D

That's very similar to what I do, actually. Just slightly different core work.

That depends. I only eat fresh baby. ;)
In the contraceptive pills defense a lot of women say it makes their breasts bigger. So it's not all bad.

I'll make fresh baby just for you. Sliced with mayonnaise and herbs.
I want bigger breasts like I want a fucking seizure disorder. Seriously. I have 32D tumors and they mess up my movement and make me feel self conscious. I feel like a sexual offender just for wearing summer clothes in the heat. Plus every other asshole feels they have the right to jeer and make unwanted advances.

Just give in and find yourself a nice man already! It's unethical to keep those things to yourself.

Well, I focus on squats and deadlifts -- Mark Rippetoe (http://startingstrength.wikia.com/wiki/Mark_Rippetoe) claims that those two exercises alone are enough for core, and you shouldn't have to do anything else to be strong. However, I also do reverse crunches (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LfdmYbDczag&feature=related) and prone bridges (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-KSIAaCpEQ).

Why of all the guys alive, am I fixated on one half a damn continent away?

Lovely! Can't understand why you're so against making babies when they'd save you a fortune on sandwich fillings.

Well in your case you probably don't need any help in that department. Self conscious though? With that gift? Eh, don't be, just accept the primitive apes around you have to share the species only braincell, and it could be a long time before they get a turn.

I want small ones anyway. Large ones make your movement ungainly.

Well, you can if you lose enough body fat.
Sadly mine is about 14% and I still have the damn tumors.

I meant that being fixated on the unattainable could be a sign you really wish to remain "emotionally untouchable". I'm sure you have reasons for liking someone.

I don't think so. I'd love it if he were in my area...actually no, I wouldn't wish Toiletville on him, poor guy. :D
