ever since i joined this site my mind has been racing with ideas and questions, anyways what is the perfect diet and how do we achieve it (if possible)? i say this cause we have many diseases today that we cannot treat but we know our diet can prevent many or possible all of them with a perfect diet. is this like any other idea that we cannot know the right answer in our lifetime or just something that needs alot attention to discover?
But many diseases are found outside our bodies like Malaria for just one of a million examples. Also genetics are passing along defects that cause the diseases to be passed along from mother to child. The best way to fight off diseases is to have, as you point out, a good diet that will bolster our immune systems to help prevent diseases from happening. The other far better thing is better science for medical research to find things that will help prevent them as well. As has been found that if you take an aspirin a day it will help prevent things you might get.
Then why did you quote part of the OP that you weren't replying to? Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! And I'm still waiting for you to back up the contention that it isn't true. (Which is NOT supported by science).
We can look at Jack (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_LaLanne) and it seems convincing but i have to say that not all people who live into their 90s are juicers.
*** MOD NOTE *** So you aren't going to show how that link supports your position? Or you're incapable of doing so? Which is it? Forum Rules: C. Stating Opinions If you have an opinion, back it up with evidence, a valid argument and even links and references if possible. So far you have done none of the above. If you cannot show how that link backs you up then your posts in this thread will be deleted.
Before i get banned again, infracted or called names. http://www.hsph.harvard.edu/nutritionsource/nutrition-news/low-fat/
*** MOD NOTE *** John99 has received an infraction for repeated failure to support his contention. Trolling is not clever.
Take a look at this: http://www.independent.co.uk/news/s...chances-of-getting-heart-disease-2043640.html
well i wouldnt say john99 is a troll, they usually use the ol "strawman" trick on me and other ppl. this time the troll is just making nonsense. cosmictravler was just pointing out that certain diseases are genetic which is saying that our diet cant prevent genetic defects that naturally occur, basically agreeing with you on genetics and heart conditions. the aspirin part and your link doesnt agree IMO because aspirin is for preventing heartattacks due to high cholesterol from bad foods and not inherited heart defects, although genetics play a role in how much cholesterol is made by the body. anyways nobody really said much on what i posted, just fighting about who is right and wrong, get to the point please lol.
There are no magic bullets to diseases. Having a healthy diet will\may make you feel better but afa death causing diseases good luck with that.
The OP wasn't asking for a "magic bullet". And there is evidence that correct diet can help prevent diseases. Ever heard of scurvy? Ricketts? http://www.fao.org/DOCREP/005/AC911E/AC911E00.HTM
