lithium in our water supply

    i was doing some random surfing and came across a video from bigthink with the idea of adding lithium to our water.

    it seems like a good idea if you listen to him but when you really think about it adding lithium to our tap water is not the smartest thing to do.
    we already consume lithium when we eat food and our bodies do need trace elements.

    i suspect a few of these statements below to be true, and please correct me if im wrong.

    lithium fries the brains of mental patients prescribed to it
    it accumulates in our body like any other heavy metal (although not heavy itself)
    its poisonous

    i just worry that our water will become a cocktail of chemicals that will give us a chemical lobotomy

    L S D would be even more interesting and there have been people who have added some to the water supplies of a few communities over the years that I recall reading about. Not enough to actually get people "trippy" but they did theur best to try and do so.
