Solaris

I am pretty excited that Solaris has been remade. I am not too sure about some of the people invloved (Sodenburg, Cameron, Clooney), but who knows? Look what Cameron did with Aliens.

Has anybody seen the original? I thought it was pretty good. It was quite a bit like 2001. Not much action, a thinking persons movie.

I don't know what to think about Clooney. I haven't really seen him act. He was ok in O' Brother but everything else he is just a cardboard cool guy. Still, it could be worse. Could be Tom Cruise or Richard Gear or something appalling.

The role is a pretty subdued one, so maybe it won't be so bad....maybe. :)

I dont believe I've ever seent he first "Solaris" what is the basic plot? Who was in the first one?When was it released the first time?
