What is, in your mind, the ideal method and principles of political organization?

    Dear Newbus,

Could you flesh out your question? You've given us very little to work with.

Well, it's really meant to be as open ended as possible, i want to hear other people opinions and discuss them.
But I guess I mean, with what political bloc (if any) do you associate yourselves?
    Why?
What particular aspect of your personal ideology do you think are unique?
What do you think th purpose of the state is, and what should its goals be?

There's so much more to discuss but this is just a good idea of what i intended to discuss.

    Hi. And thanks for clarifying.

As far as political bloc/party/ideology... if I have to get technical, I would call myself a centrist libertarian. Not too far right or left (depends on the area in question) and leaning to the libertarian side, moderately in many cases, but very strongly in some.

I don't personally like labels too much because they really serve to pigeonhole, or send the wrong impression about who you are. The worst examples are the Blue vs Red mentalities where it becomes this left and right dichotomy, my team versus yours. In that mindset, we find people highly tempted to automatically hate what the other side says. We find people who will vote one way all the time. We have people who can't seem to find their own ideas, rather doing the biddings of the party leadership instead of voting their consciences.

What is the purpose of the state? Hmmm.... tricky tricky tricky! How to word it?
In a nutshell, I personally believe the state exists to protect the rights and liberties that are shared by the people and in our case, enumerated in the US Constitution. I think they have the basic to duty to make sure justice is served, that rights and duties to keep everything running fairly are not trampled, the land protected (via military) and modest taxes put in place to ensure that it can adequately perform its duties.

I think the State, on the Federal level, should be limited. I think that many issues are better handled in a regional, state or city level. I certainly see the Federal government at this time as being bloated, meddling, and outright dangerous. Especially to our civil liberties.
The OXYMORON Act has seen to that. I guess, where I am extreme in my libertarian leanings are when fundamental civil liberties are threatened. I have no compromises of any kind for violations of that nature WITHOUT any kind of due process. That is so unAmerican. It's obvious. It's sickening.

Anything you want me to detail? Anything you want me to add?

Nice, I my self am more of a leftist radical (no not violent radical or fundamentalist radical just means i want change quickly), though I'd be quick to distance my self from communism or socialism.
I think that currently the purpose of the state is to protect itself and increase its powers.
I feel that the only way to prevent this is to strip the state of all policy creating powers, by doing away with the legislative and executive branches, creating a true direct democracy with what amounts to moderators, who would focus discussion and organize the execution of the people's decisions but would lack the power to act of their own accord. This would certainly be easier to manage on a small scale so communes or polises of maybe 1-20K would be essentially autonomous units.
Their would also be no proletariat or bourgeois because with new technology* everyone could produce nearly everything they need in their own home and still have a similar quality of life.
Agriculture could be automated with aquaculture and hydroponics.
With no real economy and thus class stratification, and now concentration of power in the govt. this kind of social structure should be fairly egalitarian and free.

*google 3-d printers for the basic technology. This takes care of most light manufacturing and if you socialize heavy manufacturing there is simply nothing left to make money off of.
