Almost everyone I know doesn't like it and would not shed a tear if it went away. Why do we tolerate it and where does it come from?
Which political correctness are you referring to? The one that thinks calling guys faggots is a problem or the one that thinks men should make sure they are not feminine or possibly homosexual. For example. As far as I can tell every group - conservative, liberal, radical left or right, etc. feminist, traditional - has their take on political correctness.
