NLP or Neuro-Linguistic Programming does indeed work and I have no doubt that it can bring many benefits. It is a skill that requires much study but there are qualifications that can be obtained. There is a famous NLP practitioner in the UK called Derren Brown. Every time I see him at work I am amazed. I reckon a lot more research should be done or at least the research done to date should be given more attention. NLP? yes. from what i gather its practitioners, an devotees, view the human as a MACHINE!........ recently saw tis series about ...sit i've forgot his name...paul daniels?...he is a fmous stae hypnotist in the UK. well we saw him using NLP etc on people wit phobias he asked thew to imagine traumatic events like they were small and as a black and white movie, and ased them t run it backwards, ad faster and faster....stuff like that. very crude i thought....he seemed VERY false to me in hismanner, and his laugh he siad a revealing thin in the last one i watched. he said that psychoanalysis was a 'crock of shit'. now dont get me wron. i am no Freud fan as such, but i could dig how Daniels would use such a strong language against a thoery which recognizes depthas in people did his techniques work on thepeople in the prog. they seemed to. but that doesn't mean its basic philosophy is sound. ISit healing to 'cure someone but dictate to them they are basically a machine.....what really pissed me off about Daniles was his arrogance. everytime he ha success wit a prson on the show, he swanned about cliaming it was HE who had cured them nowehere did he sufggest that a big part is themselves whp have dont that. in othe words he i ego on legs. really put me off him, tho i wasn't that on him before another ting. such shitty persons like Tony Blair, and other fascists and corporate leaders LOVE NLP.......wondeeeer whyyyyyy?
