View Full Version : animated GIF avatars leopold99 02-19-07, 03:35 PM i found a avatar that i want to use. i downloaded it to my HDD. it's an animated GIF image. when i upload it to sciforums for use as a avatar it doesn't animate. when i open the image from my HDD it does. how can i get it to animate on sciforums? spuriousmonkey 02-19-07, 03:36 PM either the dimensions are not correct or the file is too big. I ended up making it rather small. it's 17.1 KB. on the avatar edit page it states the max size is 19 KB so it's small enough. the funny thing is my doom avatar animates. edit: doom avatar 43X58 ; 6.63 KB animates radar avatar 80X77 ; 17.1 KB doesn't animate both are GIF images. spidergoat 02-19-07, 04:05 PM Maximum dimensions are 60x60 pixels. redarmy11 02-19-07, 04:06 PM I think it's 80x80 now, isn't it?
